The Director, Marketing for Clinical Interoperability (CI) plays a leadership role within the marketing group and across the broader Surescripts organization. Specifically, the Director must provide clear, strategic guidance to support the design, development and implementation of marketing programs/ platforms, brand development / brand positioning and communication initiatives that will support successful launch and establishment of Surescripts new Clinical Interoperability ("CI") Network, in line with overall company goals.
Surescripts operates in a fast paced and dynamic market. The CI business, in particular will operate initially in a fast evolving and shifting market space. As such, the CI Marketing Director must be a quick study of market/ industry landscape and a clarion voice for strategic positioning that will drive market leadership and competitive leverage/ advantage. The Director must be able to multi-task, apply strong analytical judgment around issues and opportunities and deliver distilled action oriented plans and guidance to support achievement of go-to-market awareness building, engagement and utilization goals.
As a new market / new product space, many aspects of the technology will be new and complex. Success, however, will demand strong analytical, listening, strategic and collaboration skills. An ability to simplify and clarify via verbal and in written communications is essential. Demonstrated ability to develop clear results-oriented action plans and effectively mobilize across sales, customer and product development teams will be critical skills.- Responsibilities:
- Establish brand positioning platform; go - to -market communication strategies and tactics for CI Network and new products.
- Act as an ambassador for the brand by ensuring consistency of voice and in all messaging.
- Oversee full life-cycle marketing process from design, execution and launch of marketing programs.
- Work in tandem with Product Development and Customers & Markets organizations to craft messaging and positioning to be used in sales and marketing collateral, presentations, online/ email campaigns and more, designed to support awareness/ acquisition/ activation goals.
- Work cross-functionally with Product Development, Products & Services, Customers & Markets and Strategy departments to assess ongoing and emerging needs to help guide marketing program alignment.
- Assure internal alignment with communication strategies across key stakeholders and channels.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications to ensure product/ program message alignment and integrated communication campaign delivery, where appropriate.
- Develop and maintain outbound campaign & communications calendar plans.
- Execute brand/ product /communication reviews to identify best practices and areas for optimization.
- Participate in development and delivery of annual corporate/ industry.
- Supervise marketing external design firms and cross-functional resources.
- Provide input and guidance on marketing budget development. Manage review of key projects.
Qualification Requirements
- Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of marketing & communication management.
- Experience in developing and leading New product communications, sales support programs and launch marketing campaigns.
- Proven track record of developing and retaining audiences with strategically grounded and compelling multimedia marketing campaigns
- Product Launch project management (2-3 years or more, ideal)
- Product Management and Brand Development / Positioning. Knows how to define benefit opportunity areas and channel / user Insight development
- Multichannel marketing program development and implementation
- Experience with traditional Marketing communications platforms relationship marketing, public relations, interactive marketing.
- Familiarity and experience with a customer relationship management (CRM)
- Strong relationship marketing and channel marketing/ collaboration experience to support network engagement among strategic accounts and user groups
Preferred:- Masters of Business Administration with a concentration Marketing/ Communications.
- Industry: Healthcare (B2B product or Consumer), health information technology, Network technology.
