Jim Ranton

CHIEF PEOPLE OFFICER
James (Jim) D. Ranton is the Senior Vice President and Chief
People Officer. Jim is a key member of the senior leadership team
and has full responsibility for all aspects of human resources. He
provides leadership, guidance and implementation in all areas of
human resource management including human resources strategy
development and deployment, talent management, succession planning,
diversity, compensation and benefits and employee relations.
Jim's most recent position was the Senior Vice President, Human
Resources for Guardian Life Insurance Company. Jim spent a good
portion of his career in positions of increased responsibility at
PepsiCo, a firm well known for its execution of progressive human
resources practices. He also held senior positions in human
resource management with Citizens Utilities, Carrier Corporation
and the U. S. Consumer Assets Division of Citigroup.
Jim holds a Master of Science degree in Management from Purdue
University, a Master of Business Administration degree from the
International Management Center, ESC Rouen, and a Bachelor of
Science degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell
University.
