About This Blog

This blog is devoted to the discussion of quality as it relates to e-prescribing. Quality in healthcare is not new, in fact we are taking many learnings from that and looking specifically at how quality applies to e-prescribing.

While we are looking at quality within the four walls of Surescripts, we are even more keenly concerned about accuracy and safety in the entire end-to-end e-prescribing process.

Posts will generally be made by Surescripts employees who work in the Quality department. We may occasionally invite outside guests to post. We'll always attribute our posts and comments to an individual.

The tone of this blog is congenial and professional. Courtesy is assumed. Contributors may post facts or opinions so long as they are done so with the intent of helping colleagues improve their experience with e-prescribing. However, personal attacks on other contributors should not be posted.

No PHI (Protected Health Information) is allowed anywhere on this site. If it is observed in any post or comment, it will be removed and destroyed immediately and the sender will be notified that it is not appropriate.

This blog is not a technical support site. Support issues, such as, by way of example, electronic prescriptions or refill authorizations not being received by the pharmacy to which they were sent, should be reported to the appropriate prescriber technology vendor.

It is our policy to immediately correct any factual error as soon as we become aware of it. Factual errors should be reported to a moderator, identifying the details of the error. We’ll immediately investigate any claim of inaccuracy.
